We have assisted 1,682 older adults
Older adults in vulnerability condition are one of the core points of the work carried out by our Foundation. People who after a productive and vital life, are in the twilight of their lives facing the double stigmatization implied by old age and poverty.
They represent 61 % out of the beneficiary population of our Foundation, and a series of programs have been assigned to them whose objective is to guarantee them a better quality of life through the care of health, food and socialization, thus avoiding the isolation and deterioration of this population.
The Foundation provides basic needs (food), essential medicines for their ailments, and it works with them in different workshops and activities to encourage their socialization, thus fostering the creation of networks of fellow men which are useful for the support of these age groups who due to illnesses, hospitalizations, etc. start losing their bonds.
It is essentially about returning dignity to the lives of those who have preceded us, who have passed their example on to us and built our history.
